Request

I know we're good friends. I like you as a person... nice and simple. We share lots of things in common.... but please...

Stop saying the word "WE" in all your statements. First and foremost, I don't share your opinion. You keep on saying that WE don't want to pursue such but in fact, I do. I'm worried na baka mapahiya ka kapag sinabi kong, "Actually, ako gusto ko." Maybe it's my fault because I don't speak that much -- pero I don't speak because I wanted to listen more... Maybe you assumed that you are the "voice" for the both of us... I understand that it's not your priority, that there are other things in life that is more important... I, on the other hand, want to learn this thing more... and not the half-cooked type of learning.

The solution? I should speak up next time.

Kwento ng Batang Antukin

Another 'adventure ng batang antukin' came up this morning. You see, I slept at around 3am... I was typing my mom's student list kasi. It has been a happy habit for me to sleep in the FX on my way to work. So this morning, I did my usual stuff... I slept in the FX. Most of the time, it's either I'll wake up when I'm already near the office OR IN FRONT OF MY OFFICE BUILDING. There was even a time where the manong driver had to wake me up, "Ma'am andito na po tayo." --> Alam na kasi ni manong kung san ako bababa. Anyway going back, so I slept. When I opened my eyes, I'm surprised to see that I'm already way past my destination. Hehehe... Bumaba ako at nagtaxi pabalik...Good thing it's only 7:25am.

-_- zzzzzzzzz......

The lesson? Sleep on your way to work... but be conscious of where you are. hehehe

Highschool days (from Rondz's post)

Came across this post as I was getting bored with what i'm reading.... Wonderful memories of highschool poured in...

1) Ano section mo nung 1st yr high ka?
Section 19 -- I remember my class adviser was Ms. Alba. I dunno if she's still there though... I kinda struggled with the algebra thing. I was casted as one of the lead roles in the inter-level drama. Comedy yung piece namin -- "The Basketball Fight".

2)eh nung 2nd yr?
Section 29 -- Ms. Julian was my class adviser. I was assigned as the class monitor... Was kinda strict in recording tardiness and improper uniform. It's also the time when my studies started to soar... I loved math all of a sudden. Thanks to Mrs. Non -- medyo terror pero magaling!

3)3rd year?
This year, we were classified according to our career preferences. Back then, I wanted to take up medicine so I got in Section 38 - Medical Science. Each career section had different specialized set of electives. Mrs. Monzon was our adviser.... The thing I remember about her is that she's so 'motherly' to all of us. She teaches chemistry.

My studies is doing very well at this point. During the year, I was awarded with silver and bronze card of merit for academic excellence. I got myself in Math Enrichment classes because I was doing really great with trigonometry. It was also my first time to join a math contest (I didn't win though... )

Another special thing during my junior year... I had a sort of inspiration...ka MU lang... heheh He's a senior and a track and field varsity star. I could still feel the thrill - he invited me to attend the yearly highschool dance as his date. Grabe!!! as in super kilig. It's my first time to attend such event because my dad won't let me. Thanks to my ninang, my dad said YES!!!. hehehe..After the event, sobrang chismis sa school kasi magkadate kami... Kung nagulat sila, syempre mas nawindang ako. He gave me a silver medal (that he won in his latest competition back then) for Christmas -- with the note that he won that event with me as his inspiration. Although we went out on 'takas' casual dates at the mall, we didn't end up as bf/gf... takot kasi ako sa dad ko. heheh...
Again, I bagged the lead role as Anne on another play, "The Letter".

4)4th year?
Section 41 - still Medical Science section. Nosebleed yung electives -- Human Anatomy and Biotechnology. Still with good grades. Pero slightly sad because my ka-MU is already a graduate...but he did study at our newly-established college... but our relationship is not the same as the one one we had in the previous year.

I only took 2 entrance exams -- from UP and UST. It was then that I faced the reality that I won't be able to take up medicine due to financial constraints. My selected courses??? Accountancy, Psychology and Civil Engineering. hahaha..

Got several awards also from the CAT...Best Air Police and Best Flight Sgt... I also had some hosting stints sa cheering competition and on some symposiums.... =)

5)anong best year for u?
I'm actually torn between 3rd and 4th year... but following my heart, I'm going for 3rd year. hahaha

6)marami ka bang friends nun?
Yes!!! halu-halo...

7)san kau kumakain kapag lunch?
Sa lobby or sa canteen.

8)san tumatambay after skul?
Derecho uwi... heheh... I wasn't the type that would go to malls after school.

9) lagi ka ba late pagmorning?
I was never late.... may school bus kasi.

10) nasuspend ka na ba?
Hindi...

11)Bakit?
Good kasi ko...

12)masaya ba pag foundation day?
Syempre naman... kasi maraming booths and perks

13)have u ever danced on stage?
YEah... heheh

14)nagka bf/gf ka ba nong highschool days mo?
MU lang.. hehe

15)sinong all time crush mo nun?
E di si Marco -- yung track n field varsity guy. heheh...

16)would u go back? Yup!!!

17)ano lagi mong binibili sa canteen?
Chicken burger ng Makati Skyline

18)overpricing ba ang canteen nyo?
Yes... di naman ganung kalaki baon ko nun.

19)nakakita ka n ba ng multo s skul?

Nope.... there were stories.... ganun naman palagi e.

20) u ever sang on stage pag may program?
It's a chorale... so yes!!! I sang on stage ... group nga lang.

21)fave subj?
Trigonometry and Physics.

22) nabagsak k n ba?
Hindi!!

23)have u ever been sent out?Hindi din....

24)feel mo ba malau ang HS bldg till canteen?
Hindi naman.... I seldom go to the canteen ang dami kasing tao.. so sa cafeteria sa lobby na lang.

25)have u ever ran in the court?
PE

26)varsity??
Hindi din...

27) nagcutting class k b?
Hindi... good kasi nga ako....

28)san k nagpunta nun?
N/A.

29)favorite happenings nung highshool?
Cheering competitions, Highschool Dance, Prom

30)do u miss ur school?
Yes. I wanna go back and teach accounting sa college.

Walang training!!!!!

Salamat sa 'nakapaproductive' na meeting.... hindi kami nakaabot ng training...

The meeting ended at exactly 6:30... After which, I stormed out of the office... peptalk na sila by the time I got there.... Well, the schedule used to 7-9pm but since the dojo got 'electricity-deprived' because of a transformer that went 'KABOOM!', training time has been moved to 5pm to make use of Mr. Sunshine. I just waited for them to finish then I joined them for a quick snack/drink at 7-11. The chat was about Saturday's dinner despedida, some scenes from the 101 ippon (na hindi ko pa din natatapos panuorin up to now) and Jessica's brand new judogi.

Grabe! It's so cool and totally astig!!! It's Adidas!!! Kaya lang it costs P5,700.... Oh well, she'll be able to use it naman for lots of competitions so it's a good buy for her. I'm not thinking of buying one but I'm seriously considering the idea of purchasing an Adidas bag... with the word Judo on it. hehehe...

The Call

My Kuya Raymond called this morning... It lasted for 59 mins. and I already felt my ears burning... The topic? My mom's requirements for her immigration visa.

The moment my brother left for the US, I knew that this would happen. Having been a citizen last year, people were telling me that he could get 'ma' in less than a year.

We discussed the early completion of the requirements. He emphasized that ma should get at least 3 copies each, one of which will be sent to him. I bravely asked, "Kuya, so talagang makukuha mo na si mama noh?" He said, "Pagkatapos niyang makuha yung letter of appointment and medical examination sa embassy, mabilis na yan. Siguro by September andito na siya."

Mabilis nga... Another thing is my Kuya Robert naman is bound to leave for his MBA scholarship in Japan on July 1. He'll be staying for 2 years there. So practically, I'll be left alone. It made me think that our June 8 Tagaytay family day is one of the last days that all of us could be together.

I don't have any regrets such as -- I could have spent more time with my mom, as we were always together... we chat about anything over coffee, before going to sleep, while watching her koreanovela collection. Yes, it's going to be sad but like what I said... I knew this time would be coming.

Team building sa Canyon Woods

Last Saturday, we had our team building event at Canyon Woods. Ok naman siya. Basketball event and nature's trail in the morning and bowling tournament in the afternoon. Nothing special in the nature's trail except for the rocking effect of the hanging bridge... Got sleepy and bored during the basketball game because it started late... Lunchtime -- for P750 buffet, I think lugi siya because the table only had rice, spaghetti, lemon and pepper fish fillet, hamonado and 'red' chicken pastel (di ba dapat white?)... desserts were only buko/gelatin pandan and fruits... I thought of Josephine's resto and imagined that for only P250 for buffet bfast and P350 for buffet lunch -- you can really have an uber sulit time and meal... Afternoon came... bowling time. I must admit that I haven't bowled for quite sometime... Yup... I hit a few canals.. Hahahah... but fortunately I'm teamed up with bowling gods and godesses so we ended up winning first runner-up.... Yey! Another medal.. hahaha...

While others opted to stay overnight, some of us went home that night... and to make the day memorable, we took the time to dine at my favorite spot -- Mushroom Burger where I introduced them to the best mushroom soup ever!!! Too bad they all had the mushroom burger royale -- they didn't try the mushroom sandwich. Out of curiousity, they looked into the contents of my sandwich -- may nagsabing, "ay, parang buhay na mushrooms pala yang iyo..." hahaha!!!! funny... What they meant was my sandwich has cooked mushroom slices and not ground mushroom patties like theirs. So nagtake out sila ng tulad sakin. hehehe... Sarap!!!

Doodle Mania 2

Lot of things happening lately.... hehehe..

Yesterday, as we were in the last minute of our randori, Monica got injured. I think she had a bad fall after Kuya Nok made his move on her. She was crying.... Her left shoulder got slightly dislocated. Good thing our sensei has knowledge of 'bone setting'. After moving her arm gently, we heard a snap... the bone was back in place.

It's still painful though according to Monica so we rushed her to the nearest hospital, Ospital ng Maynila. Only one companion was allowed to accompany the patient so Sir Leo got in and we waited outside. The result of the x-ray kinda ate time. We were all tired and hungry already. Just as I was about to grab a cup of noodles in the nearby canteen, they were out -- with smiles on their faces.
The result? No fracture... trauma only. We were all relieved to hear the news. The next thing I know is that laughter is all around as we made our way towards Binalot resto at the gasoline station.

After training and the stress of waiting for the results -- WE'RE DEFINITELY HUNGRY HUNGRY.... especially Monica (who later ordered extra rice and halo-halo) hehehe.... She later told us that she didn't cry because of the pain but out of panic and worry that she has training the following day at school, that her parents won't allow her to play because of the incident, and because she won't be able to play, she'll lose her scholarship. It's the complete emotional stress that brought her to crying nonstop. I could totally relate -- I don't usually cry at the moment that I need to cry. Most of the time, I stop the tears from falling....then there will come a time where something will trigger all the hidden emotions and all the held tears... I think that's what happened to her. Anyway, at least all things ended well.

What happened to Monica was an accident. Nobody wanted it to happen... It just happened. I wrote this in relation to the 5-minute argument that the bear and I had. He's kinda worried because it seems that people get injured every week in the sport that I'm currently in. The thing that made me snap is that it's like he's blaming the coach and he's questioning if they'll answer the expenses on injuries... he even said, "hindi ba dapat safety first?"... I fired back -- that it's an accident and nobody wanted it. Safety first -- we rushed her to the nearest hospital...that one cannot really anticipate things... that maybe I shouldn't tell anything to anybody so as not to freak them out. Opinion lang daw niya --- ok fine... pero to me it sounded different. Since I didn't want to make a big fuss out of it, I just apologized and assured him that I'm trying my best to be safe while being thrown and throwing others. *sigh*

I dunno if it's an accomplishment, but I was able to make a move on my officemate in the randori. As she was about to do a seoi-nage on me, I was able to resist and position myself to perform a tai-otoshi on her. hehehe.. blag!!!

Bad day ; (

Watta day!!!

The day started with me being late sa office because there had been an accident along coastal road... but come to think of it, I should be thankful that it wasn't me or our vehicle which was involved in the accident...

Then, natulog ako ng lunch because I feel so tired. Dahil nakatulog ako, hindi ako nakapagtime in for the afternoon. Naku naman!!! pero sige, gagawa na lang ako ng Annex A for that.

Tapos here comes another 'good' thing... there's this BITCHY person!!! Sarap sapakin but unfortunately I have to deal with her in the next 2 months. MAY TEMPLATE NAMAN PALA KAYO NUNG LAST YEAR E DI GAMITIN NIYO YUNG TEMPLATE NA YAN!!! HINDI YUNG PARANG KELANGAN KO PA LUMUHOD SAYO DAHIL MEDYO NAIBA LANG YUNG TEMPLATE NA IBINIGAY KO SAYO!!! Sheesh!!! BUTI NA LANG MABAIT YUNG ASSISTANT MO!!!

*sigh*

Buti na lang may Judo bukas. Good outlet.

Can't get enough of ....

Jason Castro's If I Fell and Michelle studio version. hehehe... These kept me sane while waiting for the bear *who by the way just texted that he won't be coming because of urgent stuff at the office*.

Oh well... siguro I'd better grab something to eat before I go home. Nalipasan na din me ng gutom e.

*sigh* 0_0

Fresh from last week's blog break

Si Ria, ginugulpe si Kuya Noknok
The group after a hard training
Me, Itchel and Irma (full gear!!!)
Jessica, Monica and Me
Today, I'm back in the office after a 3-day seminar last week. Yep, I was kinda in a blog break. Anyway, here's what happened to me last week:

Wednesday: First day of seminar... Met people from the other islands of the Philippines. The topic is informative and the speaker is ok. Every 2 hours, they were kinda serving food (morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack). At least I saved on food expenses. We were dismissed early, at around 4pm because the speaker understands that some are tired from their trip to Manila.

Thursday: Second day, since the seminar starts at 9am, I woke up later than usual. Same thing, same speaker, different food. Dismissed at 4pm again. I was excited because Th is Judo Day. Hurray!!!

It's Ria's birthday on May 28 so we had a post celebration arranged. I bought the cake. We opted for the Red Velvet of Red Ribbon since none of us had tasted it before. I asked them to write HAPPY BIRTHDAY RIA on top of the cake. After making tambay for 1.5 hours while reading my interesting book, Irma (my officemate) finally arrived and we made our way to the dojo.

The training started late... 7:30pm. There were 2 additional peeps from UE. The usuals... we were thrown (blag!) and we learned the moving throw thingie... We started our mini party at around 10pm. Irma brought pansit and pichi-pichi... I opened the cake so we could light the candle, sing and let Ria blow her candle but to my surprise, the cake got partially destroyed. huhuhu.... NADAGANAN YUNG ISANG SIDE!!! *sigh* Anyway, Irma said that it's ok.

The day ended happily as everyone was delighted with the food and Ria liked the bag (she told us that she really wanted one). Tambay sa 7-11 and then I ended up arriving at home ng 1am. hehehhe....

Friday: Last day of training. We had a different speaker. Sad because she's not as good as the first. Ended the day 3:30pm. I went to MOA right away. It's still early and I have to wait for 3.5 hours til my bear arrives. After surfing for 1.5 hours, I suddenly felt the boredom of having to wait for 2 more hours. This prompted me to entertain the crazy idea of having a haircut. I looked for a Bench Fix Salon -- I really dunno if they have one at MOA but I wasn't able to find it. Then I came across David's Salon -- I've never been on one EVER!!! so I decided to give it a try. The price for a haircut is more than what I usually have on F Salon. They assigned me to a senior stylist named Eleine. She's good actually. I liked her short hair... stylish and nice. I told her that I want to have the same hair as hers but she told me to think about it a hundred times because short hair is hard to maintain and to think that it will be a major chop from my long hair. And so I opted for my usual request -- 3 inches trim and then some layering. Ok naman. Dapat magpapafacial din ako kaya lang my bear texted me that he's already on board the MRT. Ayun....

Saturday: Yaya ako to my pamangkin... such a darling but very tiring.

I'm hungry already. Good thing one of the bosses here bought lunch for all of us.
Update: I uploaded some pics.
