Deadly combination

Early this morning, I asked someone to buy me a box of SAN MIG STRONG. When she got back, she handed me SAN MIG MILD. I tried one but unlike its STRONG counterpart, this lacked the strong coffee taste that my taste buds are looking for.

Afternoon came. I didn't have the chance to take a power nap because I had company on my desk. To defeat my sleepyhead-ness, I put 2 sachets of the MILD. The effect??? I feel really uneasy and jumpy and konting palpitation... hahahah... I'm used to drinking americano and espresso so I don't see the point kung bakit ganito yung feeling. Siguro it's the sugar.

hahahah... Won't do it again.

Happiness Day!!!

Why happiness day? hehehe... because today is bonus day.

And I'm also excited because I'll be on a little trip later this evening. I'll be posting about the place, amenities and others when I get back. Speaking of trips, I haven't even touched my Tacloban trip draft since its initial construction. hehehe

Oh well... Thank you God for the blessing! =)

Please stop!!!

I just wish people would STOP noticing everything!!! It's getting in my nerves already. An example would be drinking coffee... If I'm having a cup of coffee, one would say, "o, pang-ilan mo na ba yan?"... If I'm NOT having coffee, one would make a remark, "o, hindi ka ata nagkakape ngayon?"...... It's like you're being monitored for stuff that's none of their business in the first place.

*sigh*

At least I'm already warmed up with what I'm doing. Thanks to the book I have.

*sigh*

Attended a meeting after lunch and I just realized that they will practically be the same set of people that I'll be working with for the next 3 months. Cool!

*sigh*

Back to work....

Sleepy, bored, sleepy, bored

Seriously, I have stuff to do and tons to read... but I feel so sleepy and bored. Already drank my second cup of coffee but at the back of my mind, I'm yearning for something sweet, like a nice, moist chocolate cake. yum yum yum...

I hope I could get things done already so that I could leave early for a treadmill session. hehehe...

And you ... the teeth thing looks good on you... plus plus. =)

Waiting...

I'm here at the internet shop... waiting for nothing. It's a good decision na dito na lang tumambay at mag-antay. Kung di ako dito nag-antay, malamang tinubuan na ko ng ugat sa loob ng mall. Para hindi naman sayang ang pagstay ko dito, kwento na lang ako sa mga nangyari within the day...

Got in the office at 7:25 AM. Bought fruits to munch the whole day. Finished the mega-complicated matrix (now I know how it's really done...). Revised my report based on the matrix. Updated my checklist for the special assignment (thanks to my team head, she gave me a more appropriate format)... Afternoon came... nagpafirstblood ng Pizza Hut si Berto... work work work... Had a one on one with my other team head. Thanks to him, I confirmed my understanding of the matrix (Boss! At least tie up na tayo ha!!!) Got out of the office at around 7:30. Went to MOA and WAITED.

Since I won't be meeting the person I'm supposed to meet, I might as well go home and check on my guinea pig. I might bring Kiwi to the vet this weekend. She has this 'wry neck' thingie. It's a condition that needs special medication. After this post, I'll withdraw (sweldo kasi ngayon... heheh)

Oh well... that's it. Go home na me.

You

I caught you looking at me during the seminar...

Haha...
Everything happens for a reason and that nothing happens by chance...

I don't really know why... Just when I thought that everything is ok already... then BOOM!!! Does it matter really? Maybe, maybe not. Or maybe God is challenging me today to do better... to give everything my best shot... to recover from the things of the past... and to prove myself that I can be a notch higher every single day.

*sigh* I shouldn't have opened my mouth but I had to say something because honesty is the best policy.

Let's talk about bread

Will it matter? In an objective point of view, I guess not. A crumb won't compare to a whole loaf of bread. If you're a crumb, chances are you won't be remembered or noticed. But the fact remains that the crumb and the bread are related because they came from the same loaf pan. It just so happened that the crumb detached itself (voluntarily or involuntarily) from the bread that's why the crumb became a crumb. Otherwise, it would have become a part of the bread.

Hayyyyyyyyy... Why o why??? Of all loaf pans, why this particular loaf pan???

Gulo noh? hahahah... oh well.

Tacloban

After the long wait, here's the finished post....

Got back from my Tacloban trip on April 12. It's good to be back in Manila!!! Yey! Having stayed there for 3 weeks gave me the opportunity to dine, shop and visit as many places as I can...and I'm going to post everything here... hehehe... too bad I wasn't able to take pictures of the other establishments I've been to.

First stop -- airport. Good thing we had Philippine Airlines. They have their own terminal unlike in the Domestic Airport where "everyone" is there. They serve snacks unlike in Cebu Pacific where they sell snacks. And the best part? I got the window seat to and from Tacloban.

The plane ride was a bit turbulent. Kinda rainy kasi during those days. Top view of the region revealed mountains and farmlands and clear seas. Houses doesn't look crowded.

Where to stay...

In the catalogue of all the Tacloban hotels, we got down to 3 choices. Rosevenil, Welcome Home and Your Home Pension houses. They're not the high-rise hotels that most people would imagine. Parang one bedroom apartment. We ended up with Rosevenil. P550/day double occupancy so it's just P275 per head and only P5,500/head for the whole 3 weeks. Each room are airconditioned, with cable TV and own CR. Wala nga lang hot & cold but it's ok.

Where to eat...

Tacloban has the "usuals" -- Jollibee, McDo, Shakey's, Chowking, Greenwich, Cindy's. There are lots to choose from. From a simple tapsilogan/gotohan/bbq-han to fastfoods to fine dining.

The city ,which is near the shore, is famous for their fresh and high quality seafoods. There's one restaurant that showcases this reputation... Ocho Seafood and Grill. Their set up is like the 'dampa' or Seafood Market here in Manila. You just choose from their 'market' and then just tell the counter how you want your fresh goodies to be cooked. The price of the fish, meat and veggies are inclusive of the cooking cost. Very affordable and delicious. Just imagine, a very full meal for 5 people only costs P650.

They also have a Mexican resto -- Sunzibar. This one boasts of its moist and tender baby back ribs. For P300, you'll have a large bowl inclusive of herbed rice, salad and baby back ribs. The serving is good for 2 or if not so matakaw, pwede na din 3.

Where to go...

Famous landmarks are the Santo Nino Shrine (a museum of the Marcoses, Mac Arthur Park (where the "I shall return"... line took place)and the ever famous San Juanico Bridge. If you're feeling a bit adventurous and you've got time, try to go to Samar, there's a place there called Caluwayan Palm Island and Beach Resort. I'd like to thank Dra. Pines for the excellent recommendation. Delicious food, fine place, courteous peeps. =) Using a de-sagwan boat, we paddled our way through the whole island hopping experience. Take note: no life vests. hahaha... That's how brave we were. Our boatman/tour guide took to us to a remote part of the island. Upon arrival, we just took of our shirts (of course naka bikini top naman kami) and headed towards the clear waters. The trip costs 500/head... that's already inclusive of food, transportation and the boat thing.

to be continued.....
