Sobrang wala lang.....

In my other post, I mentioned regarding my pet Kiwi, the guinea pig. Just want to post pics of my pet. =)

The chocolate colored one is Peewee... She died after 2 weeks of purchase. =(

Btw, I just tried the kitty litter I bought last night on her tray. I do hope it works. It will lessen my pet cleaning chores. hehehe...

New Additions to the family

I've already emailed some of my friends regarding this actually but I thought that it would be better if I post it here so that everyone will know. hahahah...

I became a tita this year. Woohoo..... It's funny because my brothers became fathers at the same year. Here are the stats...
From my panganay na Kuya Raymond
Name : Ryan Albert H. Domingo
Birthdate : September 25, 2007
Birthplace : Florida, USA
Weight when born : 6.5 lbs
Naming convention: ALBERT -- combination of Kuya RoBERT and Kuya AL (of Ate Aissa)
RYAN -- my brother wants a name with an 'R'
R.A. initials coincide with the first letter of their names
(Raymond and Aissa)
Short description: hates wearing booties, mittens and bonnets. loves the donut bed
From Kuya Robert
Name : Jeanelle Ruth D. Domingo
Birthdate : August 6, 2007
Birthplace : Sta. Maria, Bulacan
Weight when born : 7.8 lbs
Naming convention: JEANELLE -- combination of both sides' mothers' names JEAN
(Ate Jessa's mom) and ELvie (our mom)
RUTH -- I dunno but I think they want also an 'R' name
J.R. initials coincide with the first letter of their names
(Robert and Jesa)
Short description: with dimples. loves to take a bath. milkaholic and sleepaholic
It's good to see that my brothers have now opened a new chapter of their lives and I laugh whenever they tell me stories that they're getting better each day on preparing the milk, changing the diapers and swaying in different styles just to get the baby to sleep (Kuya Robert, out of boredom, counted how many times he swayed just to get baby ruth to sleep... his official count, 300). They've been singing weird songs just to make the baby stop from crying. hahaha....
I just hope my niece and nephew would grow to be like my brothers... responsible, objective and protective of one's family.

Updates ....

I'ts a Saturday and I'm here in the office... alone. It's a holiday yesterday and I was here in the office... with other people. I'm not complaining though... but I had this wishful thinking this morning that I want to spend the day with my mom and my pets -- specifically watch my guinea pig as she munches the half cucumber I'm holding... LOL!

Just celebrated my silver year last monday. Just had 2 rolls delivered for my officemates. Leej and I had a simple dinner at one of our favorites -- Healthy Shabu Shabu and dessert at Chocolat (I highly recommend the place!) Chocolat has a wide array of rich and delicious cakes at a very affordable price. Just imagine this, the price of one cake slice at Gloria Jean's is already equivalent to 2 slices at Chocolat. Their coffee is great too. When we reached home, I did the traditional blowing of candle. My mom bought a big rocky road cake with "Happy Birthday ANN!". She knows very well that my birthday can survive without the big handaan BUT NOT WITHOUT A BIRTHDAY CAKE... ganun lang naman ako kababaw e... hehehe... Actually there's still some left in the fridge.

At work... I just have to admit that it's kinda toxic. There are so much things to learn and what I'm doing is really different from audit. What keeps me going is the thought that I want to learn this thing and my boss is just soooooooo good at it. We were supposed to watch a movie last Thursday but unfortunately it didn't push through. She's busy talking on the phone so my teammate and I left... when my FX has gone on a substantial distance, I received a phonecall from my teammate..."San ka na? Tumawag siya e asking kung nasan na tayo. Sayang daw kasi she was looking forward to it pa naman sana." Oh well... what's good with her is that she really takes the time to bond with us... She encourages us to work hard and never let go --> adik lang talaga magwork. hahaha...

What am I thinking right now? I think I'd like to get a parlor pampering tomorrow -- haircut and hairspa/cellophane/facial. I also need to buy dogfood and guinea pig pellets. I do hope the kitty litter that I asked Leej to buy will provide a solution for Kiwi's weewee. As compared with a hamster, guinea pigs are medyo high maintenance in terms of food and clean up, not to mention the vitamin C drops that I give everyday. I always have to make sure that we have a stock of fresh goodies such as cucumbers, carrots, apples and other leafy stuff. Every other day, I clean and replace the paperlining of the waste tray because they pee and poop a lot. I used to have 2 cavies (another name for guinea piggies) but the other one died after 2 weeks of purchase. They're kinda funny because they would squeak really loud on the sound of opened refrigerator doors and upon my arrival at home. I've read at wikipedia that they really recognize the sound of fridge doors because they know that it's the source of their food.

I guess that will be all for my updates this week. My boss is here na e. hahahhaa

An Ode to My Boss

Of course this post is dedicated to my boss here at my new employment.

When I got interviewed here, the HR's warning is she's english speaking. I didn't mind because I can speak the language.. hahah... My first thought when I met her? She's so pretty (pretty for a mid-30's). She's like the mestiza espanola type. She has this deep voice which I love to imitate. She loves to wear cargo pants and wegde shoes and sandals (we wear casual clothes at work).

As for work, I've never seen a boss as dedicated as her. A real workaholic... she would send us emails during unimaginable hours like 2am and a follow up at around 5am and still be at work at 9am. She's got loads of work... as in. She's got a family with 2 kids. The whiteboard in her office is crowded with job assignments and other doodles on things to do and stuff.

She would grind us to work hard. We all laugh when we hear her favorite expressions, "Mama Mia" and "You're dead!". A true professional, she never mixes whatever we've done at work with her personal relationships with us. I can attest to that... In the span of less than 2 months, I must admit that there are lots to learn and do and yet the deadlines don't budge. I've committed a lot of mistakes and even got 'roasted' yesterday. After all of those, it's empowering to hear from her, "Rach, I'll see you tomorrow." -- with a smile.

*sigh*... I guess it's really a working day for me tomorrow.

Joke time

This joke was sent to me via text. I prevented myself from laughing so hard because people in the elevator might find me reaaaaaaaalllly weird. Since it's too long to be forwarded via text, might as well post it here..... warning!!! no offense sa mga bisaya.

May lalake na pumapatay sa mga bisaya. Nabalitaan ito nina Inday, Teresa & Maritess.

Nakita ng killer si Inday, tinanong sya
Killer: "Bisaya ka ba?".
Inday: "Hendi..."
PATAY!!!

Nagpractice sina Teresa & Maritess, "Hinde... hinde..."

Nakita naman ng killer si Teresa, "Bisaya ka ba?".
Teresa: "Hinde."
Killer: "Anong pangalan mo?"
Teresa: "Tirisa."
PATAY!!!

Nagpractice ulit si Maritess, "Hinde. Maritess."

Nakita ng killer si Maritess.
Killer: "Bisaya ka ba?"
Maritess: "Hinde."
Killer: "Anong pangalan mo?"
Maritess: "Maritess."

Umalis ang killer. Sa tuwa, napasigaw si Maritess, "YIS!"
PATAY!!!
