26!!!!
July 26 -- It's one of the most liberating days of my life. I passed my resignation letter. Now, I'm counting the days. I've thought really hard because I said to myself that once I have done this, there is no turning back.
I've been with this firm since November 17, 2003. Almost 4 years of ups and downs. I'm very thankful for a lot of reasons. I'll always cherish all of my experiences (especially my extra-curricular activities). Aside from the usual work, I was able to join the choir, perform for 3 consecutive anniversaries, be in the company music video, be a member of the cheering squad (yes!! in a cheerleading outfit with pompoms) and be a volleyball and aerobics marathon player... hahaha... With these activities, I made lots of friends and acquaintances (and probably the major reason why I know a bunch of peeps in sgv -- and why I wave so much and greet so many people anywhere I go ** lolo's kinda annoyed with it whenever we go out for coffee **).
I never really intended to stay here for long. My timeline dictates that after reaching 3 years, the succeeding ones are already optional for me. I intend to do so many things in my life before I reach the age of 30 and now the doors of opportunity have finally opened by leaving my second home for almost 4 years.
I'll really miss people and friends. I must admit that the happy times were also accompanied by sad ones. I wish everyone the best.

July 31, 2007....
It's the last day of the person who brought color to afternoon breaks. Right now, it's 3:07 pm and I'm having break in my area... feeling sad because wala na ko ka-chat.... wala na magbu-BUZZ... wala na chismis (fresh from the oven)...
Yesterday, I asked myself and also him as to how our coffee afternoons started. I can't recall how our afternoons came to be but I remember before, I would give him the "merienda alert" when the snack cart is already in our area. I would also give him an enumeration as to what they are serving for that day. After some minutes, him and some of his buddies would go down in the 8th floor. Another thought came to me... we had this Starbucks planner project. I guess it's a major contribution to our habitual coffee breaks (the planner was awarded to me.. yipee!!). We didn't just share coffee... we would laugh on so many things... chismis, sarcasm and also weird jokes that the ordinary "muggles" won't understand. He would curse the scent of the Potdog stand as well as its contents (except for the potato slices). Lagi kaming naghahanap ng nawawalang Jamaican Patties and Nachos stand... Ano pa ba? ahhhh... there's always this mockery as to who's poor and poorer. hehehe...Kidding aside, I highly appreciated the trust we have given to one another. Problems and frustrations were also emptied out. The need for someone to talk to is answered just by having coffee, quickly or whatever.
As the saying goes, some good things just never last. Pero I'd like to take this opportunity to say thank you for so many things. Afternoons talaga were never the same. The time spent gave me a relief from the frustrating world of audit. It allowed me to recharge so that I could have the drive to deal with work for the rest of the evening. Thank you also for trusting me with your thoughts.
I wish you the best in all your undertakings. Although we won't be seeing each other often anymore, keep in mind that if you need someone to talk to or someone to call "poor" or whatever... I'm just a text away and if I have the load, I'd gladly give you a five-minute call. heheheh....
To my coffee buddy, LOLO JOSE, cheers!!!!
